– Sustainable Lighting for Remote Areas
In 2021, I traveled to Africa to present and test a prototype of an autonomous solar streetlight—a project developed in collaboration with People’s Portable Power, Access2Innovation, Workonomics, and Ideaal. This initiative aimed to provide off-grid lighting solutions powered by integrated solar panels, a battery pack, and a mobile-controlled platform management system.
During my time there, I met with key stakeholders, explored the market potential, and established valuable connections for future implementation. The project focused on energy efficiency, durability, and ease of deployment, ensuring that communities without access to reliable electricity could benefit from sustainable street lighting.
This project embodies Mørch Design’s commitment to innovation, functionality, and real-world impact— leveraging technology to create solutions that improve lives.
